MARINA PLACE
Schematic Design Team, Marina Del Rey, California
Marina Place is a 900,000 square foot mediterranean-style, three-story
retail complex developed by Melvin Simon, Inc. In opposition to the typical
linear
space of a mall, Marina Place strings a series of identifiably distinct “rooms” in
the space of the gently curving mall. Natural light, articulation of
openings, and structure are different in each room, creating a feeling
of separate
districts.
CIRCLE CENTER
Schematic Design Team, Indianapolis, Indiana
Circle Center is a multi-block urban redevelopment of downtown Indianapolis.
The three million square foot mixed-use project consists of a new retail center,
office towers, hotels, and entertainment zone. Circle Center is a necklace
of interior spaces, linked by the datum of a curved wall, in the format of
existing blocks, respecting existing facades, height lines, and historical
context.

WESTSIDE PAVILLION
